Sean comes to the Demiris Law Firm as an experienced litigator with four years of seasoning in complex commercial litigation matters, and he is familiar with all aspects of trial practice, including discovery disputes, summary judgment motions, trials and alternative dispute resolution.
Sean worked directly with the managing partner of his prior firm on numerous complicated matters, including insurance subrogation lawsuits, corporate dissolutions, minority shareholder actions, major personal injury matters and discovery master proceedings. During his time there, he also served as a founding member of the firm’s technology committee, spearheading the modernization of the firm’s technology infrastructure, communications and business practices.
Sean joins the firm after a twelve-year stint as inhouse counsel and senior executive of Cooperstown Dreams Park, a youth sports camp located in Cooperstown, New York. During his time with the Dreams Park, Sean was involved in all business and legal matters and was responsible for compliance, legal strategy, managing outside counsel and interfacing with federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
Sean is admitted to the bar in New York and New Jersey in addition to California. Sean is a firm believer in the ethical and efficient practice of law.
Sean was born and raised in New Jersey and attended Rutgers College, where he served as the Sports Editor and Business Manager of the Livingston Medium, an alternative weekly student newspaper. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, he attended Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, where with a teammate he won the Intramural Mock Trial competition and represented Rutgers at the regional competition hosted by Albany Law School.
In 2016, Sean relocated to California and lives in Contra Costa County, which he considers his new home. In his free time, Sean enjoys reading, spending quality time with family, and playing the guitar.
