Konstantine "Kosta" Demiris

Chief Counsel

Kosta has a wealth of experience in all aspects of litigation. He has tried hundreds of cases through trial, which include cases involving trust, estate, probate, conservatorship, guardianship, elder abuse and fraud, real property and HOAs, family law, dependency, criminal law, and unlawful detainer matters. He has successfully settled cases where he was able to get multi-million dollar settlements for his clients. He has prevailed at trial, won various discovery motions, and obtained sanctions and attorney fee awards against opponents. Kosta has consistently been recognized in California Super Lawyers as a Rising Star  over the past five-years in a row, a distinction given to less than 2.5% of the attorneys in the state.

Kosta is actively involved in the Contra Costa County legal community.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Contra Costa County Bar Association's Elder Law Section.  He serves as a civil law discovery facilitator for the Superior Court of California Contra Costa County and also as court-appointed counsel in Conservatorship cases in Contra Costa County.  Kosta is dedicated to helping the elderly and giving back to the community through his volunteer work with Contra Costa Senior Legal Services.  Kosta was a Delegate in the Conference of California Bar Associations, which is involved in helping to shape elder and civil law legislation. He is also a proud member and volunteer with the Tri-Valley Cal Alumni Group.

Kosta was born and raised in the Bay Area. He attended the University of California at Berkeley, graduating in 2002 with honors. Kosta tried out and made the Cal football team as a walk-on place-kicker (ask him about his less glamorous version of the "Rudy" story for kickers) and volunteered as a practice assistant for the Cal women’s basketball team. Kosta went on to attend Santa Clara University where he earned his law degree.

Kosta’s hobbies and loves include sports, traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.  He is a Bay Area sports fan, especially of Cal football.  Kosta prides himself on hard-work, a commitment to his clients, and making a difference.  Ever since he can remember, Kosta has loved stories about hard-working, good people, who overcome struggle and adversity to beat the odds.
